Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year, takes place next week, and we're getting a jump on gift ideas with a list of beauty products that are $50 or less.

The curriculum in Melissa Chessher's fashion class was a bit different Tuesday than a regular class. Instead of talking fashion and the influence it has on society, she asked her students if everything was ready - hors d'oeuvres and all. Tuesday marked the launch party for Salty Style, a blog created by Chessher's fashion and beauty journalism class.
Most people buy makeup, shoes and clothes. All three items can get expensive, and a lot of the time we grow out of clothes, shoes get worn down and makeup gets old or goes out of style. But all three fashion accessories can be re-used in practical ways beyond their intended purposes.
